Estonian – belongs to the Finno-Ugric group of Baltic Finns and its closest cognate languages are Võro, Liv, Finnish, Ingrian, Vepsian and Votian. Estonian is the mother tongue of about 1.1 million people.
Finnish – is the language of the Baltic Sea language group of the Finno-Ugric family, the official language of Finland (similar to Swedish). About 5.23 million people speak Finnish. In Sweden, where it is used by around 200,000 people every day, Finnish is recognized as a minority language.
